Xara Designer Pro+ Update 20.1 - DP+ goes high resolution

Dear Xara friends,

We proudly announce that Xara Designer Pro+ has taken off into the universe of high resolution :)

First, Thank you to all the beta testers for the wonderful feedback. It was fun interacting with you first-hand.

From today 12pm UK time you are able to experience the latest Xara Designer Pro+ release which offers high-resolution awareness and other improvements and fixes that you might be interested in. Here you find a short summary:

1. High DPI Display Support

• Designer Pro+ now makes best use of the screen resolution whatever the Windows scale factor is set to.
• On high-resolution screens, like 4K Monitors and devices like Surface Pro tablets, document display is sharper.
• Even on lower resolution screens, you can now use the Windows display settings to make the controls bigger, while the document display still uses the screen’s full resolution.

2. Supersite UI
Page Thumbnails & PDF Download options. New checkbox options on the Utilities > Web Export Options dialog to turn on/off the new navigation options in documents and sites exported to web as supersites. This includes:

• Full screen button
• A downloadable PDF of the whole document/site
• A popup page thumbnail bar
• Additional navigation buttons

If the option is off, sites and documents export without the options above.
In all cases websites set to export as Conventional Website in the Utilities > Web Export Options dialog will not have these options. They are exclusive to Supersites.


3. Settings
Users are no longer prompted about settings when starting an updated version of Designer Pro+. The user’s current settings will be used. In case when users do need to reset all settings back to their default values, a new Default Settings option has been added to Utilities > Options > Tune-ups.


4. Other Fixes & Minor Improvements

• Fixed an issue which prevented a correct export of alt rainbow fills to web
• Fixed an issue which caused selecting text on new web UI moves to previous page
• Fixed an issue which prevented RAW file import
• Fixed an issue which caused errors when updating Table Of Contents
• Fixed an issue which caused links not working in web export with some Panel components
