Have you tried exporting to Illustrator (*.ai) file format. Will your modeling program import them?
I lathed the bun parts in Post #19. I exported the paths from Xara. No problems at all.

Thanks Gare for the advice, basically there seems no issue with the export/import itself from Xara to Blender. Anyway in Xara yes selected this Adobe option:

This issue is rather at the bevelling attempt concretely, because there the vertices are quite ugly as cummulating there in the orange marked area and not being smooth at all :D

Sure that is some trick in Blender, but did not find the answer yet
csehz,
Can you send me the AI file. You have my home address, send it there.
I think the control points are messing you up. Where there are 5, thethere should be one.
I'll try to extrude it with a soft bevel and send it back to you with both the AI I'll do and an OBJ of the extrude, okay?

Gare thanks I have just sent the .svg file, because as default I can not import .ai file to Blender (anyway probably that is just enabling question of an add on)
Yes briefly sure some manual manipulation is needed on the vertices, for example where there is that narrow angle in the Apple logo, there has to be a manual triangle as face

Will play with it yet but after expecting to create beautiful inset faces on the top, by that the bevel should be also beautiful then :)

Gary's world is upside down; North is 0 degrees (or 360).
Ok here is my humble 3D water molecule. I know it needs a lot of improvement but considering I haven't touched a 3D modeling program in at least 3 years and I am at a beginner level I'm Ok with this.
Edit: I did do a little compositing in DP365
Apple logo with Realsoft3d NURBS tools.
Instead of extruding, used welded trimming curves. Rounded sides are achieved using negative values on weld tool.
