Re: October 2014 Tips and Tricks - Big GIFs, Tiny Animations
This is truly nice stuff, stygg.
One thing I need to mention: I did not have the time to draw a background, so I downloaded and modified a free one.
Free vector downloads, expert stuff, no strings, no nags or traps
My ethos is that if I know I can draw something, that someone already has done, I feel no guilt as presenting a part of their work in my composition and my idea. But I only do it when there's no time to re-invent a piece of artwork. And I never use art I could not have done myself, because that's just a cheat and you're better off posting that art on Pinterest.
:)
TGIF folks!

I forgot I still had the horse images we had to re-draw for the Xara Project, so the ones I did I've made an animation of, not sure the timing is right  Steady gallop I think :)

I think you need one more frame, that splits the difference between the first and last frames as the animation cycles, Stygg. The horse does a single gallop, but then his legs seem to "snap" back to the first frame/first position.
Try it?

What I noticed, stygg, is there is a very great difference in position between the last and second to last frames. That's what's literally giving you the "kick" at the end of the cycle. You need to add a new frame in-between those two, an average of the two frames as I've used transparency to demonstrate in the file and in this screen snag:

See where this needs to go?
You literally need to tween a new pose that is the average of these two positions, especially the back legs.
My Best,
Gary
