Switching sites from WD10 to WD premium
This is more of a house keeping problem. I've got two sites in older versions of WD and want to open those sites in Pemium. Do I do a "save as" for the older sites, then open the "save as" files in Premium?
I'd like to know the most efficient way of doing this rather than opening a back up file. Many Thanks.

Bill, if you have .WEB files for these, just open in Premium.
If you want to keep the originals, use Save As with a fresh *.WEB filename.

Thanks Acorn. Second question. Where do you keep your files? In a separate folder of your making, or do you even keep them close to the back up files. Sorry, this is elementary but I've always had a bit of difficulty in my understanding of how Xara stores files. Many thanks.

I saved mine to a local folder that is set up for Dropbox. That way i have Xara backups and Dropbox backups as well as the Dropbox folder replicated into my other machines.
I have my Xara Backup folder set to a different physical hard drive, remote from my main machine.
Xara saves your .WEB file to wherever you want. If you add in other assets then these get saved to a different location set up by Xara (such as %localappdata%\Temp\XaraTempSupportFolders).
The Export files can be saved anywhere too but I am less fussed over these as I can reExport at any time.

Acorn. Drop box is a great idea. I'm going to save to Google drive. I usually back up to a thumb drive but even those fail.
The transition of my sites to WD premium worked well, although no log in info was saved.
Thanks for your help from the NE SPCA.
