Days of woe for Adobe CS6 and earlier users on Mac
It's a bit upsetting right now for Mac Adobe users who are pre-subscription and happy with CS6 or earlier - they won't work with the new MacOS release because it's 64-bit only.
So a quite a few Mac-using Adobe owners getting a rude surprise right now..
..I guess there may be a few smiles at Affinity HQ..

Re: Days of woe for Adobe CS6 and earlier users on Mac
MacOS Catalina requires applications to be both 64-bit and notorized by Apple, as well as use the current xcode development platform.
The will be allowing applications that are 64-bit but not notorized to run (with caveats) until January 2020, and are considering the notorized requirement.
So, yep. Bad news for a whole lot of applications and their developers. As Adobe has zero plans for updating even older CC versions, much less CS applications, that will exclude them from ever working on Catalina.
Doesn't apply to Windows. But, as Windows 10 continues, it's just a matter of time before CS applications will not work on them, either. It's just that Microsoft will let attrition happen versus the more heavy-handed "security" reasons Apple is using.

I was specifically talking about Macs. There's a lot of talk about it on the Adobe forums.
