When I try to insert or replace symbols, all of the symbols are blank.

Running as administrator makes no difference.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Working here for me in Pro +. Has your service period or I can never remember what it is called, expired?
My update service for XWDP expired two days ago and I can still insert symbols. That panel, therefore, proves to be part of the app. So, there might be something wrong with your installation.
By the way, as I had downloaded all contents before expiry, all other assets are still accessible through the Local Designs gallery. The only things not accessible anymore are Stock Photos and Stock Illustrations (i.e., vectors)
