WD MX Audio Widget Problems

I have two unique situations with embedding audio in my pages.

1). The stock widget only allows one widget to function on a page. If you have two or more widgets embedded none of them will play. Is there a work around for this?
2). If I embed a flash based .mp3 player (any flash for that matter) on a page, it will will persistently show through EVERYTHING else, including layers. What can be done about this?
In other words (regarding #2) I would like to have a hidden audio player that would pop-up from another layer on demand.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
