How would I go about making a phone number a clickable link? This would be in reference to when someone is on their smart phone and they can just touch the phone number and dial.
In the link section of Web Properties *where you would create a standard link) type:
tel:(whatever number you need). The colon is required and to cover all possibilities I add the international dial too. I'm in Australia which has an international code of 61 so my link would be:
tel:+61712345678
+61 (international) 7 (area code without the 0) 12345678 (phone number)
When I made it like this on the webpage 1.203.123.4567 and then highlighted and then clicked on web properties the link to the web automatically showed
http://1.203.123.4567. Since it automatically showed in the link dialog box maybe I should go with that. I would think I won't know for sure until it goes live on the web. Anyway, as always thanks for being there!!!
Nope. http:// is a web address, you need a telephone address. The screenshot attached works , but like I say, I'm in Aus. you will need to change the International and area code to suit your location.

You got the http:// prefix as you entered just the number and had Correct automatically ticked.
Untick and use tel:...

I just made the corrections as per you last correcting me. Just tested the clickable phone number link on my cell phone and it works perfectly on all mobile variant pages.
Thank you so very much for being there!!!
again, good to hear.
