Centre 2 circles on a rectangle
Hi
I've had xara for some years now but never really used it extensively, but because I was having difficulty getting answers to my enquiries in other software packages I'm trying this one as a last resort.
I have a rectangle 63.5mm wide and 114.3long and I want to position 2 circles (each 8mm in diameter).
The circles are grouped to keep them 51.92mm apart.
The top of either circle needs to be 8.10mm from the top of the rectangle and 6.59mm away from either side of the rectangle, this keeps both circles squarely in the middle.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Michael

Are you sure the measurements you gave are correct? They don't match the objects in your file, nor do they add up to something workable.

Re: Centre 2 circles on a rectangle
I would create a temporary rectangle 8.10mm tall, align it to the top of the large rectangle and use it to position the two circles. The use Snap to Objects (or the Align menu) to center the two circles.

Simple use of Snap to Shapes and Align Bottoms.
The rest is down to arithmetic.
You have possibly confused Width and Height ("Length").

Remember if you are then printing this a a drill hole template, for example, make sure the Scale is custom to 100%.
