Ursmare,
Welcome. Flash8 Professional can import .mov files directly for conversion to .flv (Flash's native video format).
FFMPEG is Open Source and can cross-convert many, many video-, audio- and graphic-formats. It is standalone, that means an installation is not necessary. All codecs are built in, so an installation of codecs is not necessary.
I can highly recommend it! Of course it can convert MOV to SWF. FFMPEG is freeware, you will find it here:
ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu
I know a program that can convert all popular videos (mov, wmv, mpg, avi, etc) to flash formats(SWF and FLV), and allow to add templates for creating beautiful flash videos. I think it's just for you.
So you can check out its website to learn more

Good Luck.
i do it with a program Video to Flash Converter PRO by geovid.com. maybe it's not the cheapest (don't think that anything cheap cando a really good job), but no doubt the easiest and qualititive way. it has a lot of options that could be useful and supports most popular video and flash formats.
Wait a minute! I know geovid! I use it but another converter.
That's good that I found this topic.. Actually I was thinking how I can convert my videos to web.... Now I know!
