The Table widget has sortable columns.
It doesn't filter.

So it couldn't sort members of an organization by industry?
Well of course it will, but you will see all of the entries in groups and if you want the last group you have a lot of scrolling.
Are you actually after a filtered view?
If so, I have used http://www.datatables.net/.

The data is in a Placeholder on the page.
The datatable code is the Page Head code and is expecting the id of example to be associated with the table data.
The issue for most people is writing HTML code for table, th, tr and td tags.
