Non-black skin for Designer -- how to?
Hi folks. Just got Photo and Graphic Designer 7, and happy that it seems to be today's incarnation of my trusty Photoimpact of years gone by.
But... how do I change the *&^%$ skin so that Designer's windows just look like normal windows? As it stands, for me anyway, trying to use the white-on-black look is painful when all the other windows on my screen are just default Win 7 -- the contrasts are so different. (If I wanted white-on-black, I could set Windows to that theme.)
So, I'm hoping there's a way to fix this.

Re: Non-black skin for Designer -- how to?
Well, on posting, the forum suggested some similar posts, which did indeed answer the question. Yes, it can be done. Easiest answer I saw:
1. With the program running, hit SHIFT+CTRL+ALT + S. This immediately changes the skin to "normal".
2. Exit the program (that apparently saves the change)
On restarting, the setting is retained.
I can see there is some utility to the dark skin while editing photos with careful attention to color if that's all you're doing on screen, but for "utility editing", having the Designer window abide by the same color conventions and visual levels as other windows is a big plus.
Anyhow, problem solved -- yay! And thanks to other posters for the answers.

Glad you got it sorted. And yes, that is the way to do it. I also find the dark skin painful and difficult to read.

Maybe there should be a controller to set the background value.
The new icons looks as they would work in a brighter environment.
