How to change shade color?

Hello,
I am new here and need some help. I have Xara WD 9.
How to change shade color? I added shade to footer image, but instead black shade it shows pink. How to change it?

Select the text and then open the Color Editor (Ctrl + e or click the small color wheel to the left of the screen palette)

You can also click any color on the color palette to make the selection that color.

It is not a text. Shade is around solid color image. I was not able to select shade.

Hmm? Not quite sure what I am looking at.

There might be an object on top of another object (a pink object) and with transparency applied to the top object.

Select the object, and if the status bar (lower left of screen) says Group, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the top object to select part of the group.

Then switch to the Transparency Tool (the wine glass icon on the main toolbar) and see if the Infobar at the top of the screen indicates transparency.

If so, set the transparency shape to None.

It doesn’t show anything, but I also know there is no any other images. I was able to solve this problem. I placed that image to new document, added shade and copied/pasted to old page. It has black shadow now. I am very new to this program.

Now I have another problem with Menu. For some reason it doesn’t want to change colors. What’s wrong I am doing? Do I need to open another thread for this question?

Did you find a solution as I have a similar problem? Or can you please refer me to the topic where this issue is discussed?

I placed that image to clean page, added shade and then copy/paste where I need it.

If you are not able to select shade color of an image, you can change color of background of its image or make little fade of color your provided for shady looks. the way which you try is also good. sometimes you can not directly select option which you want.
