Can't find it anywhere? I have applyed a clipview but can't get the key hole icon? any one help?
right click on the selected clipviewed object and choose 'select clipped objects' from the menu
EDIT:
this is a change introduced to bring it in line with selecting objects within groups apparently as you can also select clipped objects with ctrl+left click
I did try the ctrl+left, but this select the element in side the group of the cliped view, not the group.
Also I just wanted to change the fill and outline of the cliped view shape, which in the end I had to use the new object panel.
I have switched backed to 5 now for speed. Thank you for your help.
if you use the rightclick on the selected clipview object you will get the 'select clipping object' option in the menu too which is the equivalent of the other keyhole ;)
You are not alone in missing the keyhole. It made things a lot easier.
But for reasons best known to the development team, the keyhole icon has gone the way of the dodo bird.
Best solution is probably to remove the clip view, do your editing, and reapply the clip view.
I also miss the keyhole icons on the clipview.
You can use the Page & Layer Gallery to select any or all the objects within a clipview. The only saving grace without the keyholes. ;))
You can also use Ctrl+K to select a single object in the clipview, where the right click menu allows you to select a group. I actually like this new way better.
did you mean ctrl+K Frances?
I like the new way better too - not only the options, but those darn keyholes were always either in the way or hiding from view :D
I meant Ctrl+click. :o My apologies for any confusion!!
just checkin' ;))
