Xara 15 Flash of Light graphic?
I'm an author and use Xara to design my book covers. I looked around my Xara15 panels for something like a flash of light. I watched a YouTube of some guy adding a flash of light to the overall work to set off the cover. He selected the effect, clicked it onto the cover and varied the brightness. He was using some lame-looking online design program.
Does Xara15 have anything like that? The Image Resources are for images. My current cover uses two separate images so I was wanting to add it more as a graphic than a filter. I didn't see anything in graphics.
Thanks!

Can you post an image of the effect? I am sure we can suggest a technique if we see something to work from.
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for.
Create a circle. Apply a solid color fill. Apply a Circular transpareny (or feather the edges)
Or create a circle, apply a yellow fill, change the fill to Circular, with an Alt Rainbow Fill Effect. Apply a Circular transparency.

Precisely what I was looking for. Thanks!

I think you're referring to lens flare?

That's what I thought when I read Emmeric's post, as he said to highlight the cover and lens flare would do a good job.

Perhaps using the Bump map might also be a good effect on his cover, as you can alter the light and angle in a number of ways including the colour. This valentine card is using the bump map for the effect I wanted. I have a lot of lady friends :D Hope this helps Emmeric.
