Hi everyone!
when i try to import CDR 5 and CMX files to Xara 0,7 i get an error message: "That file is not recognized by any of the installed filters"!
i'm running kubuntu 7.10 and Xara 0.7 and used CorelDraw 7 to save some files in the CorelDraw 5 version 10k, but i also have CorelDraw X3
i've read all the posts related to this issue and it seems everyone can import CDR 5 and CMX, so, what am i doing wrong?...
can anyone help?

Ruipedroca the members here at Talkgraphics are not developers.
The Open Source community developers have not seen it to be worth their time to make new import and export filters for XaraLX.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that means these plugins exist in the Xara version for windowz but not in the Xara version for linux, right?

The Windows version does contain more import options.
The Linux version was started almost 2 years ago and has not seen much development for about a year. Because the core CDraw code is still not and will probably never be open source the Linux community has not step in to continue development of XaraLX.
The Windows version is still being developed and has seen several releases since the Linux version was released. Some of the import file types shown in the attachment did not exist in the Windows version 2 years ago.
You are not the only one with this problem its impossible for me to import grafics from CorelDraw. I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy with Gnome and I obtain the same message.
Any suggest are welcomed.
