Brush to shape, Shape to Stroke

I'd like to have a mode where when I make a brush stroke, it will automatically become a single shape.

When I do this manually, I have to take a shape make it a brush, then do the stroke, then stop and convert to a line shape, then ungroup them and then do add shapes to create one object.

It would be convenient to simply enter a mode where this happens automatically after each stroke. It would also be great to have brush sliders all available in a single tab rather than having to change tabs to alter spacing, scaling, offset, rotation, etc.

If this ever happens, I'd like to see a quality slider on the mode which controls how many points are created when the object is made.

Sometimes I would prefer to have a brush mode that a single stroke be a single shape stretched along the path rather than the single shape repeated.
