I have been watching Breugel's "Blind Leading The Blind" on my tablet and I had to pause it to make a reply in this thread about my pleasure in the restoration of the old behaviour for skewing bitmaps. In no way is this comment ("Blind Leading The Blind") meant to be a dig at The Good Folks At Xara for thinking that they know best!
Bob.
Marc, with the 15.1 update, and smart transform turned off, it SHOULD work as previous versions without using ALT.
as egg said you do need to be in the selector tool, and it will not work with the blue handles whihever way you do it...
Ok it's a working now, it took a couple of lock icon option toggling to work.
Thanks.
Psheewww!
glad to hear that :)
:D
Latest update as of today... Hmmm just tried skewing a photo that I had just chopped out with a shape. It does not preserve the photo in other words does not line up. The math code is still off.
Anyone have a workaround or how to fix?
Thanks!
You can use any image. Take an image, make a circle, or any object, select, ctrl 3, then try skewing it. Actually doing it you can see, it moves the image around as if it were arbitrary. Try to also skew the image up and down, but also left and right. The image flops around and is not preserved by the original shape as in ALL previous versions of xara. Which worked.
Here is a picture but try it on your own to see how its totally not working. I just used a horse on the water image i found on google images.Attachment 121674
