i've been using photo impact XL and all of a sudden my text is pixelated. it wasn't like this before. now, when i enter text of any kind of varying fonts, it comes out pixelated as in the picture below. any suggestions?

I haven't been able to recreate your situation, so can't offer much help. I do remember somebody posting that a font named Silkscreen contains a virus that corrupts other fonts. Could that be it?
I've never seen this type of thing with Photoimpact before. Don't know why your text would do that, but I doubt this is a PI problem.
