+1 - If I deactivate Smart Transform then the skew controls don't lose.
Also some wishes for the future release/-s:
1. Some of the following wishes were notified to the German support, but there comes no reaction and no ticket.
2. The skew angle for horizontally and vertically skewed objects should be displayed and changeable in the info bar. It's now only horizontally displayed and will reset to 0 after a change.
If I set it to 22° it should show 22°.
3. The rotation angle for a rotated object should be displayed in the info bar. It normally reset to 0 after a change.
If I set it to 45° it should show 45°.
4. After changing the skew angle of a smart-objekt, the side-handles of the shape are no longer displayed and changes can only made in the info bar (only hotizontally).
Workaround: If I deactivate the "Smart Tranform" option then the side-handles will show.
5. The rotary switch is not always visible in smart-objekts (eg. speech bubbles, flowchart arrows and others), because other switches interferes with it.
Workaround: Zoom in to show the handle.
6. Not all brush profiles are printed. This bug was fixed once before a few years ago.
Workaround: Choose to print as a bitmap in the printer settings.
6. It is not possible to change the line ends simultaneously / uniformly in the line smartshapes. It is also not possible to transfer changes from one to another line smartshape to get a consistent look.
7. Additionally line ends can be set on flowchart arrows (only flowchart arrows) with the line tool.
8. I want to change / display the size of rounded corners (rectangle, quickshape) in units (changed in any unit and displayed in current unit).
9. I want to insert the "number of pages" to set up a pagecouter like "Side 1 from 10".
10. I want some multiobjekt tools like
- Multi-rotation-tool (change the rotation angle to all selected objekts)
- Multi-scale-tool (change the size to all selected objekts)
11. Relicate-tool (copy the selected objekt horizontally an vertically like a labels sheet)
12. Standard vector-fillings (like the Hatch-Pro-Tool from the old ArtWorks)

Serial 2: I don't think so, because if you select an Objekt with it's tool (eg. rectangle with the rectangle tool) and select rotation in the infobar the angle would shown.
Serial 10: I like dreaming. :)
Serial 11: There are many workarounds. I setup the page with empty livecopied frames and work inside the livecopy.

Werner, by "major change", I mean that for every object added to the page, its initial orientation would have recorded.Quote:

The circle and quickshape have an initial offset that would have to be factored in.
Text is aligned to the axes. Add a line width and a rotation of more that one degree and you get an image on export. Re-aligning such text is very difficult.
I do not think that the Xara application currently retains the state of a shape's orientation so a Rotation UI control would be required to add to the current controls under the Select tool and the state recorded internally.

I work more on design and layout and not on webdesign, so I don't know that rotated text would export as an image in webdesign.
