Re: Slidey comparison effect widget thingamybob
Egg, Followed your link. Then tried to follow link to source and got This site can’t be reached www.totalpcss.com’s server IP address could not be found. I am truthfully interested in this one so am wondering what is wrong. I like the way the effect works on your page. Thanks for showing it to us, very dramatic.

Hi Joe. The link to TotalPC was on the xar I made a few years back and as you state there's nothing at that url now.
The reason I couldn't get it to work when I published it to my server is that it required JQuery (JavaScript Library) I had put some code in to get it to work, and as I say it worked fine in Xara preview. All I did was place a rectangle on the page & gave it an animation (doesn't matter which one I believe) this forces the JQuery to load and everything is fine from there ;)

Egg, you can even placed the animated rectangle on the MouseOver layer so it never shows but the jQuery library is still loaded.

Thanks Acorn. You posted this tip re creating an animated shape to force Xara to load JQuery a few weeks ago and for once something stuck in my mind and I recalled it to solve my problem. Thanks again.
