Re: Responsive Web Design
You have to use text styles for the app to know which font size etc. you want to use in each variant. It takes a bit of learning and getting used to but then it's very easy to set up and maintain your site. Take a look for 'Text Styles' in the Help file. In that chapter there's also a link to 'Responsive Web Design' with more information about variants.
You might want to experiment with the Text Styles feature in a dummy website before working on the site you want to build.

Thanks for your help, Boy. It really helped. Can you check out my site on a cell phone? The menu bar is a drop down, but when one clicks on "menu," the menu gets big and blocks out the drop down list, so once can't click to go to another page?! How can I turn that off? https://thesandiegomobilenotary.com
Re: Responsive Web Design
Yeah, I can see that. Easiest would be if you posted your .web file here so we can take a look. It seems as if you have two instances of 'Menu', one of them being a .jpeg that upon touch activates a pop-up. Also take a look under Web Properties/Image and see if the 'Pop-up photo' checkbox is ticked.

I'll try the things you suggested in the meantime.

Re: Responsive Web Design
Thanks for posting the file. I noticed that you used MouseDown and MouseOver layers and that caused the problem. MouseOver and MouseDown states should be avoided for use on touchscreen devices such as mobile phones. Now there is only the Navbar group on the MouseOff layer.

When I shrink the page horizontally on my desktop or laptop the site does NOT switch over to the mobile variant.

Re: Responsive Web Design
Thanks :) I'll look at that. I was reading about MouseDown and MouseOver layers and it's complicated for a novice, but looks like it is working now.
Re: Responsive Web Design
Have you uploaded the new version? It still shows the popup image.
Re: Responsive Web Design
No, still working on it ,

A Web site is the final output of a Web design. The Web site sits on a Web server where electronic files are stored. The Web site presents the contents and interactive features or interfaces to the end user in the form of Web pages.

conveyzhere, you clearly have chosen to breach TG ettiquette and rules and market yourself/company; your Post link has been purged. You state you have no Xara Desktop applications yet jump into the nuances of how Xara handles Variants with a poor explanation of a website that is nothing to do with a responsive presentation.
I would normally raise an Infraction and, in extremis, ban such actions. Please ensure your following Posts are more measured.
