Mobile Navigation-Hamburger - need assistance
Hello...I never did "get" how to make the hamburger navigation properly...and now I would like the "hamburger" background to be clear or translucent. Is that possible?
Can someone make a video or give me explicit instructions so I can finally understand how to do this?
I'm so sorry to ask...but a medical condition does hamper me sometimes in remembering and "getting" what others are saying that are technical. Video is always welcome or pictures...I know I'm a pain..but I REALLY APPRECIATE you and your patience with me.
Here's the site I am presently working on...and it's ONLY the mobile version I need assistance with, PLEASE!
Thanks you, always!

Thanks GWpriester...but I want the background of the hamburger to be clear and it's white! :)
Re: Mobile Navigation-Hamburger - need assistance
Select your hamburger icon, and:
Utilities > Web Properties > Image (tab) > Web Image Type (radio button), choose PNG (Best For Graphics)
The default is Let Xara Decide, and Xara always decides JPEG

Sue, I can see the issue on my mobile; you may have grouped the icon with a white rectangle? You could just use a shape group for the icon or select the menu symbol.

Thanks, Chris M, tried it...nope did not work. It has a white rectangle with it. If I could start with just the hamburger and do it again, I'd try. But I don't remember how to do it...

Sue, a Xara NavBar needs a Group of a Shape with some Text.
Open the Text Tool.
Click on your design.
Pick Insert > Symbol > Search: Hamburger.
Create a similar-sized blob - a square Box will do.
Make it any Colour Fill, different to your Hamburger symbol.
Put it underneath your Hamburger.
Group both.
Right-click and pick Create Navigation Bar.
Make the Box have No Fill.
Double-click the Hamburger.

Sue, follow Acorn's advice in the above post. I had not spotted you were using a standard Xara Navbar (poor form from me!). In Acorn's instructions, you can make the square background box 99% transparent if you wish, but might be better overall with a natural colour. Attachment 132235
Attached has an example output from Acorn's instructions.
Hopefully this works,

Acorn, great instructions...I got to the part about right click and there is no option to pick "create navigation bar."
Did I miss a step..when you say open text too, I did that..was I supposed to type something? I just made a square and then followed your instructions to grab the hamburger under "symbol."
