Mobile site variant doesn't resize when created.

I'm using version 16 WDP and I deleted the mobile site after completely recreating the main site. I thought it would be better to start with a freshly created mobile site, which was fine except it didn't resize everything to suit the mobile site and I had to do it manually. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and how to recreate a mobile site correctly? Thanks, Lisa.

When you create a variant, Xara only creates a new page size and copies all the elements from the full size page to the variant. The designer needs to edit the material as required.

I find this a good solution because the page content displayed on a cell phone should be edited to suit the screen size. And the navigation bar needs to be make larger and simpler.

That said, the latest version of Designer Pro X and Web Designer Premium, 16.2, has a new setting Autofit to Page. This might be what you are looking for.
