Updating a different computer
I have Premium on my desktop and my laptop. I updated my laptop when in Florida last winter and downloaded a lot of content at the time. My subscription has expired, but I'd like to add the same content/updates to the desktop. Can I do that by transferring files?
I only use the program once or twice a year, or I'd just update my subscription. I may do that anyway, but I'd like to wait a year or so.
Re: Updating a different computer
Your laptop downloaded content will be in:
- %localappdata%\Xara\WebDesignerPremium\12\Cache\de signs\eng\
- %localappdata%\Xara\WebDesignerPremium\15\Cache\de signs\eng\
Drop one of these into your Windows Explorer input field.
Copy all folders and content to the same location on your PC.

The WebDesignerPremium first folder is "15" on the laptop (updated last winter) but "12" on my desktop. If I transfer the whole folder "webdesignerpremium" and its subfolders will the program still work? My concern is that if I only update \designs\eng\ the program will still be the 12 iteration and may not recognize the new content. Advice?
Re: Updating a different computer
You could copy everything under laptop ...\15\... but it would need to be into PC ...\12\...
At that point when using PC XWD12P,, some content with not work under v12 but most of it will. This is because for Smart Shapes, Xara relies on actual application version code changes to make things work.
Try, you will lose nothing.
