File extension for exported 'supersite'
Hi,
I am a newbie and looking to use Xara Designer Pro to create animated and interactive images to be used in an educational course I am creating. In this case, the software I am using to create the timelined presentation fundamentally utilises HTML5 and it will import resources with the .HTML extension. My intention was therefore to export a created resource from Xara in HTML format.
However...when I do export the supersite from Xara, even though it indicates (*.HTM, *.HTML) as the file types, the exported file is *.HTM. The software I am using to import does not accept *.HTM files, only *.HTML, so it does not recognise it.
What is the solution to this?
Re: File extension for exported 'supersite'
In the Web Properties > Page menu, where it says Page Filename:, index is the default and exports with .htm extension.
Change this to index.html and your files will all publish with the .html extension. You may get a warning or a confirmation, ignore it.
Re: File extension for exported 'supersite'
PWK, open Utilities > Web Properties > Page > Page filename and add the suffix ".html" to just the first page of your site, typically index.html.
The export will set all web pages to be *.HTML.
