Pop up galleries

What I would like to achieve is to have a single galleries page displaying thumbnail images and some text so that each thumbnail opens a different pop up photo gallery. I would need image captions in the galleries. I realise that I could create galleries on individual pages and then link them from thumbnails to open in a new window but just wondered if anyone knew of a widget, or some other method, that could achive my idea of the galleries themselves being in pop ups

Welcome to TalkGraphics.
So you can use the MouseOver/MouseOff concept to have different layers activated from clicking a thumb. These displaying layers can themselves be paired with another pair of layers using an Over/Off approach and these could then activate pop-ups. Help > Search > Layers, Mouseover (Rollover) & Pop-ups.
