Bug : Set Paragraph Background colour not exported when copied
I'm using Xara Designer Pro X 16.3.0.57723 DL x64 Oct 25 2019 and I notice that the Set Paragraph Background colour is not included when you copy and paste something (as Device Independent Bitmap or Picture (Enhanced Metafile)).
Easy to check...just copy something with a Paragraph Background and paste it into Word. Notice that the background colour is not there.

Andrew, MS Word doesn't have an equivalent. I can use Text Highlight, which leaves gaps between lines and I can use Shading, which extends to the limit of the Right Tab. I could put this all in a Text Box and Shade that. There is also Design > Theme Colours to play with. My normal preference is a single cell Table with Shading. It therefore all depends on the purpose of the paste.
The closest I can manage is a save to PDF and then convert to MS Word.
Text Inside only pastes the bounding shape, not the text. If you detach and copy both Text and Shape, provided the Shape is a box, then you probably get what you need.

You can do a screen capture, then use the screen capture, though this is a bit of extra work.
I just tried this from Designer Pro X 16.3 into Word (My copy is about 3-4 years old) and the text came in with the highlights in place.

I've narrowed it down...further investigation shows that text with a Glow shadow loses the background paragraph colour when copy and pasted (as a bitmap).
