Is this a question?
only if this is an answer
but more to the point..
I took that photo for a reason... any idea why ?
Either to show off your shoes/slippers or as a Rorschach test to see what people see in a stain on a piece of sheet rock?
a. You took it by accident.
b. You wanted to entertain us.
c. You felt lonely and wanted to start a chat.
1. Insurance claim - you've had a leak?
2. The stain is almost an exact copy of the outline of a Hebradian archpeligo island.
3. You've had a few and took it by mistake!
4. It's a map of a distant star constellation.
handrawn, you have a granite worktop and you needed the exact location of a number of underneath drill holes so you could register it back properly in place.

whoa - some nice replies... :D
I most assuredly did not take it by mistake; on whether I had had a few I take the fifth...
Aim to entertain? - guilty... but not why I took the pic; lonely? meh...
the moccs are incidental, they just got in the pic because I have big feet
granite worktop is an ineresting thought; but it is not a worktop any more than it is sheet rock which I understand to be plasterboard wall - it is chipboard flooring
on that basis jono is on the right lines - not a leak as such, just what you tend to get when you remove bathrrom carpet that has been there for 20/30 years
I like the idea of the hebradian archpegilo [but not the star constellation] - gary was on the right lines, it's what do I see.. bearing mind I am a cartoonist... :)
no no you are taking that as an answer rather than a clue - gary was on the right lines, right.... it's what do i see when i look at it; and it's a bathroom, call me old fashioned and british upper-middle class but our wc's are not in the bathroom ;)
The stain does look a bit like a cloud creature with a head and outstretched arm squeezing out smoke.
that is very close to what i saw, in fact, you could not get closer; and yet, it is not what i saw
It reminds me of something from Yellow Submarine.
There's a row of holes and what seems to be a screw.
Is that what the mystery is?
I would assume they are to hold the board to rafters. It's possible you have infestation of the giant, mathematically precise woodworm that only makes holes at regular distances and in a straight line and collects screws as a form of bling?
;))
you were much closer in your first post, but you saw the other side of the coin - what i saw was the dog's head facing left; it was a 'sketch' I could make use of
good observation - I would go with terry gilliam's cutout animations for monty python...Quote:

I think the moral here is that the Cintiq is getting used too much..
the dog has a lovely expression on it's face - bemused and yet aware something has happened, such as it being suddenly frozen in time, quite possibly trapped in the flooring by a wicked genie in the shape of a sea horse lurking nearby...

I believe in using my eyes and my imagination as an artist, and hanging on to that childhood way of looking at things that is so very very special ;)
I see a pig face not a dog:)
Ray
that is down to your perception, and thefore as valid as mine :D - I saw a poodle
On second thoughts...
..I see the tear stains of a Magix user who has failed to turn off the nag screen after failing to upgrade in time..
that is the glory of rorschach-esque perception - no-one is wrong ;)
A very charming dog, possibly with a puppy in bottom right corner
I can imagine now, at Gaddesden Place.. "Hey, guys look at this, our users are crazy! ..they are looking at stains and seeing pictures!"
I don't know why did you take that picture? Looks like you are standing on granite or something and thought the image interesting, kinda looks like a sky with stars showing during the day
there speaks an artist; that is a good visualisation :)
you know I don't think they will give a damn as long as they shift productQuote:

thanks larry that too is a good way of looking at it.. what it is, is a piece of stained chipboard, and maybe, just maybe, what you see says something about youQuote:

handrawn, I an enjoying seeing you in the role of disruptor.
I might ask for your TG group name to be changed to that.
I don't know why so many seem perturbed; the Thread is in Off-topic chat.

P.S. Apart from the typo, it is most definitely not the Hebrides; having lived there, it's far too tame.
I spent a couple of weeks in Benbecula way back in the 70's .. flat cold windy, but great for those who like solitude ;)
