Re: my very first flash animation
Frances,
The reason it wasn't showing inline was that you had included the swf file name into the code. This isn't required, just use the code from the properties alone without the swf filename.
I've edited your post and it now shows in-line.
Could I suggest that the text would be better sliding in from the left. That's the way we read, left to right. The way it is currently the viewer reads it backwards.

Re: my very first flash animation
Thank you Egg, I've changed the bottom text so it now slides in the other way.
It definitely is much better.
Also is there a way to embed a flash animation into an e-mail ? I'm a complete novice at this.
Re: my very first flash animation
Frances I think it would depend on your email client software.
I have never embedded a swf in an email.
I don't see any way that my email server will let me do it.
Re: my very first flash animation
even if you can - thats not to say the recipients email client [program] would accept it - mine would not
Re: my very first flash animation
Thanks guys, I guess if I want to e-mail an animation it would have to be gif?
Thanks Bill, for fixing my post I think I almost had it right this time.
I now have my animation on my webpage here is the link if anyone would like to check it out. http://www.goodmorningsunshineonline.com I did the header graphic, and the large gel buttons with Xara as well
Re: my very first flash animation
Glad to help Frances.
I think you can click the edit button on that post to see the edits I made.
I like your site. One thing though, the image for the link to Adobe Reader does not show. Only the white square with red X place holder shows.
Re: my very first flash animation
Thanks for letting me know about that image on the website. I know I'm getting off topic here but did you happen to check out this weeks issue of our little publication while you where there? It's all done with Xara X pro (execpt for a few ads that were provided to us.
Re: my very first flash animation
Very nice publication Frances. If I lived near there I would visit some of your advertiser's establishments. I also enjoyed the humourous stories. :)
