After Effects alternatives

Hi All,
I have been watching a few YT posts on using After Effects and Envato videos. But I don't have a copy of After Effects so wondered whether anyone knew of an alternative to Ae that is a bit cheaper and compatible? I'm simply looking to play with it all and see if it interests me enough to venture down that path.

Hi Andy,

Look at BluffTitler, the BixPacks, and the many examples by the Community. It's faster and much less expensive than AE, however, it depends on your needs.

There is also Bixangelo from the same company that allows you to create 2D & 3D curves for use in BluffTitler that are usually used as paths for other objects to follow or script writing.

Bixangelo creates eps files. Strangely, eps files done in Xara go a bit wonky in Bixangelo or when used directly in BluffTitler.
