Creating realistic Wood in Xtreme.
I have been working for a while trying to make a wood style in Illustrator with no luck. I can add lines, etc. but it just does not look realistic enough. I see there are Wood fills that work in Xtreme, but it appears to pixilate (due to being a jpg?) when I scale the image.

Here was my Workbook tutorial Pretty Good Wood . It might give you a place to start.

Re: Creating realistic Wood in Xtreme.
Or, you can create your own woodgrain fill.
there are two alternatives to avoiding jaggies when scaling (and yes, it is because the fill is bitmap based).
one is to scale, then fill. you can scale the fill to the granularity you like and, as long as the bitmap was made to be used as a continuous fill, it will 'wallpaper' the filled object seamlessly.
or, if you like the fill exactly as it is, trace it (use the trace options to get the best quality) and the new fill will scale with the object as vector.
best of luck,
geo.

Eye candy also has a plug in called "wood" that does a decent job if you are in a hurry.
