Let there be Music or at least a Moo
SOUND / AUDIO
XARA Web Designer is a great visual tool for making sites, but we humans have more senses that give us clues for navigating around many sites. So a most crucial tool missing in Xara is the ability to attach audio when building “Mouse Over” buttons.
Sure we hear “system sounds” while clicking buttons, but my preschooler would much rather hear Quack, Oink and Moo and I agree with them.
Anyone have a clue how to do this without going in at the back-end an writing a bunch of code? _attachNewSound.”Moo”)
Perhaps there's a Widget I'm unaware of for doing this.....;))
Re: Let there be Music or at least a Moo
This will help for MouseOver audio - http://xara-users.info/demos/roll-over-audio/ - though the Pazeera link has changed to http://www.pazera-software.com/produ...ash-converter/ Be Careful to use the correct Download link. Personally, I would use http://www.freemake.com/ to convert. Or you might have your own way. An .swf file is needed at any rate :)
Re: Let there be Music or at least a Moo
Zaphodeist,Thanks for the tips and I can see where that would be a viable work around using Flash Sound Files, but by then I might as well build the site with Flash.
With all kinds of system sounds and a bazillion small WAV files on the web I'd think Xara would come up with a much easier way to accomplish the same goal.
Attention Widget Builders -- The Sound Widget.
Attention Xara Magic A great cross over product opportunity being ignored.
