Re: Internet Explorer 10 - 'Enter' key problem
I do have same problem before my internet explorer 10 didn't function well.
What I did is I went to microsoft fix to repair whatever problem I have in my IE10.
It might work in you also. You may try to go on microsoft fix.

Re: Internet Explorer 10 - 'Enter' key problem
I had Internet Explorer 10 as an update yesterday and installed it. It seemed to work fine, but when I looked at a site I'd produced using a slide out effect, the effect on pop ups were abscent and the pop ups appeared instantly. I checked a coulpe of other sites with similar effects and they were all the same, no effects.
Uninstalled it for now unless someone knows a cure.

Unfortunately, IE10 is incompatible with previous versions of IE and with our code. Transitions do not work in IE10. As well as some other features. This will be fixed in the following version of our software.

Actually, my son did mention this to me.
Thanks for letting us know.

Just testing. 64 bit. Same problem. Progress I suspect.
Re: Internet Explorer 10 - 'Enter' key problem
I had this problem lately, my solution, in my own case, was to verify the control selected is not something else than the browser.
Example, I have a Windows Form (what we normally call a window lol), if another control on the form is selected, for example a button that would minimize the window, even if I am writing somewhere, the Enter key would minimize the window cause the selected control of the form was the Minimize button.
You must ensure that it is the web browser you have selected, and not some kind of hidden menu, or anything else.
Enter key will, strangely, be used for controls after you click on them. So my own software, where I would click "Internet" to open the browser, where I would afterwhile want to press Enter in a <textarea>, well it would act as If i pressed enter on the Computer button.
It's weird... I know.
I thought they bugged the IE, but it was just the control selection problem.
Maybe it applies to your IE problem?
