New Christmas t-shirt design
Hi all! Back again with another t-shirt design.
Attachment 132921
My question is: The title of the design is "Get Lit Responsibly", and I was thinking of adding it to the bottom of the design. But does the design need it? Does the gag work fine without it? Thanks again for the feedback!
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
Good message. At first I thought they were eggs drinking egg nog. But lights work great.

Hmmm...it didn't occur to me that someone might not know those are Christmas lights.
I've added text and some holly. Better?

Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
I looked at your design - I thought 'christmas lights' ... so where is the wiring? - then I thought if they are 'roped together' with wiring maybe they should be scaling a tree.....
It's the way my mind 'works' ... :D

Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
Hi again!
I've made some changes to the design. I think it works better now. Thoughts?

Woah, wait a second! This one carries a totally different message. Where is the don't-DUI bit, the being responsible? This one says, "It's X-mas: Let's just get drunk!" This meme caters to quite a different customer target group. What made you change your original message into this one?
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
bad boys are always more interesting [I am told....] :)
perhaps the responsible message ended up at western union .....

Not when they're speeding and swerving down your way raving drunk!
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
Brilliant work.
I like it.

I cannot argue with that, although I think you might have missed the irony because you skated over the second part of my post
entertainment, as the man said [in so many words] to his script writers, is the business we are in... if you have a message, take it to western union
it is fun now; before didactic maybe - always TC's call.....

But both designs carry a message: Drink responsibly and Get drunk.
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
well as ever, how the message is interpreted is down to the person reading the message... me I don't read 'lit' as 'drunk' I read it as 'merry', which is what you are supposed to do at christmas.. also spreading the light at christmas is good news, no?
there isn't any suggestion in the drawing of vehicles at all, it would not even have cropped up if were not for the first take....
[you could maybe stick an e on the end of lit.. nah just kiddin' it's christmas :)]
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
I agree with Boy. The latest version carries no drink-driving message, in fact the opposite. The designated driver icon now looks like he's taking a beer from the bulb on his left, he's joining in. "Let's get lit", is it an American term?
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
but there is no designated driver icon anymore is there, TC has changed his mind and direction
I am judging this as a piece of art, not a public service announcement, whichever way TC want's to go that's up to him, what is for sure is that the second take, as art, is a lot better....
Re: New Christmas t-shirt design
I like them both, TC. Either would look great on a T shirt.
