you are welcome :)
XaReg 2.5 is the latest and last version. Bill and Steve intended it to be freeware so no problem making it available. And it seems to work for the new versions of Xara products even though it was last revised 10 years or more past.
that.s the same version both zips contain XaReg25 ;)
I'm Spartacus!
I'd forgotten how useful XaReg could be.
Stunned that it works with XDPX v18! :)
:)
LGF - I think it looks for registry settings that can be modified and also looks for newer versions and what options apply.Quote:

gary is right - it accesses the registry at the appropriate xara point on the tree [ok its a hive, but only the likes of acorn might quibble] and provided xara do not change this structure all xara programs you have installed will be held there
Hive is just the fancy name MS used for their collection of key-value pairs. Mathematically it is a tree.
I know about trees; I intend to be one, one day.
XaReg will not find later additions or removals of keys.
The most interesting places are in this branch:
- Magix XDPXv18: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\XtremePro x64\18\Options
- Xara Pro+: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\XtremeProSub x64\18\Options
