Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
No, they are NOT both the same size.
The blue circle (ellipse) is 0.62cm wider than the grey one - and 8cm² larger.
Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
but when you click on them the sizes are shown are the same.
W 17,07
H 16,44
Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
Make sure you're clicking the right ones ...
My program shows:
Blue: 17.09 x 16.46 ... 220.4 cm²
Grey: 16.47 x 16.46 ... 212.4 cm²

Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
Select one or the other and Arrange > Break Shapes. Now the two ellipses are different sizes. Not sure how they got combined.
Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
rs3, I have and can see two different ellipses and dimensions.
Select the blue one. With Snap to Objects set, Shift-drag the side control until it locks to the smaller ellipse.
Both are then identical.
Perhaps you just did the reverse in haste?

I did. It was only when I Broke Shapes with the Grey ellipse, I then saw the issue.
There is a zero-sized Point that is part of the Grey ellipse that was converted to a Shape.
If you switch to the Shape Tool, you can select and delete it.

Interesting ... In XP&GD 16.3 I just opened the file and clicked on each shape with the selector tool. Nothing was combined, nothing needed breaking.
Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
opened in pro+ and there are two seperate shapes - although the grey one is stated to be a line...

It was the zero-size point that is a Line combined with the Ellipse shape. It is easy to delete when you know what it is.

That's what I found also Keith with XDP17 so that begs the question how did you create the second circle rsrsrs? I found that cloning the blue one a and changing the color to gray the two are identical.

Right-click on the grey ellipse.
Pick the Shape Tool.
Press Tab until a point is highlighted off the shape.
Press Delete.
The "Line" is changed to a Shape.

that's as may, be but leaving aside the text object there are only the two objects listed in the gallery and in the workspace and they are not the same size - my finding is the same as keith's
I see the issue you refer to though if you break the grey
Re: whats wrong? both hahe the same size ...
Hi,
thx all for your response.
it was made about 10 years ago by a college, so no chance to find out how it was made.
the original sketch was quite complex, so it drove me mad to find out what the hell was wrong with circle.
