Gary I'm sure it is beautiful, wish I could see it, have tried for years and have read things you have wrote about how to see them but I guess I am just one of those people who will never see. Anyhow thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!!!!!!
Any as per usual ... I can only see it inverted. I can force my eyes to focus in front of the object, but cannot force them to focus past it, no matter how hard I try. I can see the stereo but can't make out the symbol or the message!

Sorry Gary, tried your method still can't see it,just a blur. I think I am just too literal or something!
Took me years before I could view them but finally using the method described by Gary I eventually got there. The trick is to stay unfocused, it's so easy to think you're seeing something and refocus. Don't refocus, just keep slowly moving your head away from the image.
And as the stereo say's 'Peace' to you all.

Tried Eggs approach no matter how hard I tried when I moved my head back my eyes came with it I just couldn't get the eyes to stay behind.
The stereogram has a repeat pattern. If you put your index finger in front of the image and focus on the image you will be aware of two index fingers. Move your hand until the two indexes cover the same part of the repeat.
Then refocus on your index finger, the stereogram is then set up. Remove your hand.
I doubt if this is the proper way.

I understood the instructions. I complied with the instructions. My eyes completely overrides the direct command of my brain and snaps the focus back on the picture.
Tried several times. Ended up trimming my finger nails as all I achieved was to notice the were getting long.
I'll try again tomorrow.
I can see the depth and detail of the shapes, (fantastic detail) but can't see text - what's it say?
I don't know why but tried everything several times still see nothing. My sister sees it so it must be there, but I still see nothing!

Except, these are designed for parallel viewing. If you view the image cross eyes everything will be in reverse.

Boy - I am not sure. This image had four or five layers with a lot of transparency. The word Peace is very subtle and really does require some effort to read. Especially at this size.
I have removed the ripples from the Stereogram but kept them on the Pasteboard.Quote:
