How do I delete the "Open Recent" List Please
golfertel - Why do you want to do this? Just curious.

Ignore this:See #10 below for the right approach!Quote:
Yes, the Registry Editor entry might be Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesign erPremium x64\15\Options\Recent File List where " x64" is there or not and "15" can be "12"/"11"/"10".
You probably need to set FileList Size to 0 and keep that and (Default), deleting the others.
If I was doing it, I would also Export the Key; others advocate backing up the entire Registry.

I am not sure if this would do the trick but it might be easier than editing the Registry.
Then is not the simplest solution to NOT look at Open Recent Documents?
Backups are essential and I would never advise anyone to disable backups.
Gary, thank you for persisting.
The "correct" method was there all along: Options > General > General Options: set the recent files to 2 to fit the OP's request.

are you working in an environment where you work off a usb drive and you share the account?
if so you may not want to leave backups and recent file info on the computer.... especially backups....
Thanks Acorn. It does not clear list but it satisfies the way I'm working. Many thanks, I like simple answers.

I had the same question in another thread. Limiting the recent list, Page Options --> General --> Recent Files list only changes what is seen, it doesn't clear the list. I had already tried that. The problem is that when you set it back to 20 you have the same list showing. Am starting a new project so would like to clear the list and just see the new web files I'm working on or experimenting with. Sounds like it may be a registry thing which I will pass on, was hoping there was just a file that could be edited with a text editor. Oh well...
to clear it completely you do need to delete the entries held in the registry as in post #2 [acorn] I think
