When putting the picture into the slideshow, it looks fine. When I preview it, it is stretching, I think up and down.
Can someone help me to know what I am doing or not doing wrong??
I'll attach the picture and then a screenshot, so you can see the difference. See how the dog's face is elongated in the slideshow? This is just one example. It's done it to the other pictures also, some more obvious!
Hi Sue, when you open up the Z accordion you will see that the picture size ratio is 530 x250 px, your picture is 800 X 741. To keep the same ratio your picture needs to be 800 X 377 px to keep the same look, so if you go to your original picture and in photo tool mode you shrink from the bottom to reduce the height to somewhere below his chin you will improve the ratio. Then in normal picture mode shrink it a little from the top and bottom so as not to distort the picture too much, when you get to around 377 px height save your picture and then put it into the z accordeon. I think you will like the result. I played with it, look at the attachment.
Let us know if this works for you.

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Hi Roly. Wow, that is so great, what you did. I tried resizing but had no luck! Your example is perfect!
Now can you explain to me where the "photo tool" is? How to utilize it? I've looked around....I assume I need to be in zaccordion? Then from there, where might I be going???
Thanks for your expert help!

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Hi Sue, just double click your picture, you will see small orange and blue circles, go to theone at the bottom of the picture and you will see an arrow popup, just move it up to where you want to hide.

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
This didn't work right for me. It left a white space at the bottom and still distorted.
How do I do this in the program cause I tried what I thought you were saying but :((

Can I edit it in Photoshop to some other sizes and it will work better? I have tried this but ahhhhh nothing seems to work for me!

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Hi Sue, I do not use photoshop, sorry, but back to my instructions. After you moved the little blue circle upward, you will see some white, when it's where you want it click outside the picture to have your resized photo. I will try in the next 30 minutes to prepare something giving better instructions.

Yes, what you did looks GREAT! I just can't seem to get it done no matter what I try. I know I must be missing something so simple...I feel so dumb!

I can adjust the bottom up...from there I fail miserably. Nothing changes it...

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Hi Sue, let me see if I can find a video somewhere on the net, I'll get back one way or the other.
Wow, thanks Roly. This is really cool info. Now I am not sure what to do here. Found the Photo Handling area but then what? How do I get to watch anything? Just as I clicked...I think I see it! Yeah, something I could manage to do right!
Okay, so I was using the wrong tool I guess. But I tried it as the above showed me, with the camera tool, and I still didn't get it to be right as it still looked stretched.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...at least I am trying. And I thank you for your patience!

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
As an alternative, perhaps looking at a video using your own supplied image may help. I tend to be old school and all these blue dots etc confuse me so here's a way using the fill tool:

Egg, that was amazing! The visual is so helpful! Thanks so much for making the video for me. I can't wait to try it now.
Cross your fingers that it works for me....this one has been a hard one for me to learn! I don't know why!
Even making the picture smaller before inserting it, made it worse!
Thanks again, and I will let you know my success once I try it!

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Okay, Egg, I did it just as you said to do it and it's still elongated! Oh, my gosh...could it be because it's the 2nd one in and not the last one? I know that sounds stupid....but I am just dumbfounded! And it looks absolutely fine on the screen and exactly like yours until I preview it...then it is elongated!
Should I delete the zaccordion and start over?
Any suggestions?

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Soooo I went and opened a new file, the original "activate." I put the same picture into the slideshow and it works perfectly!!! Looks great on preview and it's not stretched!
So now how can I fix the slideshow so that it works properly...cause I obviously must have done something, right? Do I have to start a whole new website/pages all over again? Can I just delete the slideshow and insert a new one?
Oh, boy this is life changing and I'm so glad you are all here to help me....

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Hi Sue, congratulations, the impossible just takes a little bit longer to achieve. Firstly copy and paste your new one into your website, test it, if ok remove the old slideshow and keep on going.

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Okay, so I bet you can't wait to hear how I did, eh? Followed your suggestion, Roly!!! Everything went GREAT! New one worked fantastic. I started adding all the pictures in! GREAT, worked wonderful. Added all pictures in and added 2 more to the slideshow...opps, now we have distortion! Took one out...we are good now! So apparently there is some issue with 6 pictures!
What do you all think?
And again, I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience with me. I knew this could not be as difficult as what I was running into! But you all showed me the light!
YIPEE!
Best,
Sue

Okay, uploading another picture. Try adding 6 pictures, I think when you preview, you will see the same issue I had.Attachment 117371

Re: Slideshow - distorts photo
Sue, looking at the accordion widget it states it's for four photos, therefore I don't think you can add more. You seem to have increased this to six but that's probably what's messing up the slider?

Hi Sue, this is called cheating if you really want 6 pictures (you could go to 8). I made each widget 500 px wide and put it on manual mode. See attachment
