It's been yonks since I started a challenge. This one is straightforward:-
Draw a design using just word(s) and make the result a visual representation of the meaning.
Use any software, raster or vector.
That's all folks!
Bob.

I couldn't resist this one. A Quine is a program that generates a copy of its own source text as its complete output.
Place this in a Placeholder:
It is therefore self-defining,Quote:
function a() {document.write(a, "a()");}a()
<script>
function a() {document.write(a, "a()");}a()
</script>

Good idea Bob. Here's mine.
Here's my attempt ...

Like that Kieth.
:)
I just had to join the fun!:) Xara's new art brushes were a help for this one!
And another.
And along the same theme.
That's great Larry.
My word has two meanings, both represented here.

Thanks Egg. I love your suspension bridge, the others are nice, I just like that one particular.
Mark, what are the two words? Could it possibly be animal skins?
I can see DES in the last 3 shapes but can't make out the first 2 :)
Larry, it's one word with two meanings. It is spelled out in the boxes, look closely and you will see it I believe.. you have to concentrate like you would on one Priester's sterograms. Though it is not one. Do you see it?
Or are you kidding me? I catch on rather slowly sometimes.
I just tested it on my wife and she saw it. Would you like me to tell you. I may have made it too hard to see, though I can see it, but then I did create it.
I refined the first two letters, hopefully making them easier to see. Does it work now, or should I make them more visible?

No Mark. Perhaps I can see an H in the first rectangle, but I can't see any image in the second, green, rectangle.Quote:

You did the right thing by seeing if your wife could see it, after all you know what we're supposed to see, she doesn't. Also remember that individuals are viewing it on different monitors at different settings at different resolutions.
EDIT: Okay I can now just make out the character in the 2nd rectangle but only having whittled down the possibilities. I won't say what it is, don't want to spoil it for others, but clever.
Thanks Egg. I think this final edit will make it more fun and less frustrating for the others. Let me know if it makes it more easily visible, please.

Yes, very clever Mark. Although I admit it took me a while to see it too.
Yes simpler, but then again like Gary's stereograms once you've seen them once you can view them easily.
Thanks Keith and Egg, now I know it can be seen and is solvable. It's nice to come here and do something fun after a day of beating each other up in self defense qualifications.
That is very clever Mark. I also recognize those textures. Eye Candy 6 if I'm not mistaken :)
Hello angelize and thanks. Good eye and very close, but I'm still using Eye Candy 5. Does 6 have anything new and interesting in it?
Mark: Actually they are up to v7 which no longer works properly with Xara but we are going off topic here, there are a couple of discussions In the plug ins forum you might find interesting.
Here is another one, it's one of my favourite subjects to draw :D
Very nice angelize, I like how the O is the middle of the flower. Creative.
y'all are pretty clever.
my simple entry...
Very clever Mark, I had to change the colors to help seeing the letters

Nothing like a good mystery.
Hi Mark, a good mystery usually hides a good story.

Greetings Roly, I agree good sir.
Thought that I'd borrow this from a thread on the XARA-USERS forum, as it works for this thread too.
