Frances's art brush explorations
I've been exploring the art brushes some more and I thought I thought I'd post some of my images in this thread.
this first one is a rhododendron flower first I created some repeating art bushes for painting textures on to a single petal then added some shading with the shape painter. clipped the petal all together then made a proportional art brush from that petal then I painted 5 petals bending the path differently for each one.

Thanks Boy.
Here is the rough sketch of a rose that I used as a demo piece for the Line art brushes I posted in the brushes gallery.

That's really neat Frances. I hope one day I will get an understanding of them like you do.

Re: Frances's art brush explorations
Here is an image I did just playing around with using a brush with a linear transparency to brush on shading in the folds of the scarf and toque (knit cap for those not familiar with the Canadian term :) ) A few quick strokes with a "bullet" brush (from the line art brushes donated to the brushes forum) were all that I used to create a brush that I used for the fringe of the scarf and the pom on the toque.

A quick go at using brushes to create a stippled effect. And it's all vector too!
