Hi Francis, I'm working on this peach but I think it looks a bit "cheeky" at present ;) more cheeky than peachy :D
Stygg
Working on new (Joomla) web site, a catalogue, and images of Namgyalma and Vajrapani.
Still a work in progress but I am working on a couple different ones Ihis one is for a new Drop Cap but it is subject to change.

Very cheeky Stygg ;) Love your work Fred and another drop cap Larry.
Here's a lifebelt I created for a beach hut site.
Very cool Egg.
Cheers Larry.
Just something that took my fancy tonight, don't normally do cartoons but something gave me inspiration as it often does. The evil woman Margert Thatcher (Cruella)
Didn't get the dalmation spots correct, but perhaps I'll revisit it.
I think it looks good Egg. That's what this thread is all about I think, submitting something maybe not quite finished, but something you are working on. Even so your looks finished and very nice to me but then you are the only one that really knows.
I'm glad to see such interesting posts :)
Something from me - saw this on an Illustrator tutorial - much easier in Xara.
Very clean look Christine.
Updated my Cruella and happier about the spots now.
Here's a seamless pattern I'm working on. The actual individual design element is just an upper case L using the Storybook font. I used Illustrator (Astute Graphics MirrorMe plugin) to create it.
The rest of the work is done in XP&GD10. This is still a work in progress as there is some weirdness in the pattern, it displays unexpectedly in repeating tile mode, with odd colouring in some of the shapes, but it exhibits normal behaviour in repeat inverted mode. I have included the .xar file if anyone wants to inspect/use it and this enables you to unclip it and remove the grunge texture if you want.
Bob.
*@Angelize & Rik - you are welcome to move/duplicate this post into the Clip art forum if required*
Ho Bob,
The reason you're having to do an inverted fill is that your shapes must match the other on the opposite border, not have different colours, otherwise you get a shape thats say, red on the left and blue on the right.
Here's your file amended.
Thanks for spotting the problem, Egg. I honestly don't think I would have sorted that out without adult supervision!
Bob.
I am just playing with colours and shapes
Here is one of some variants.

I've posted the amended version of Bob's pattern that Egg fixed to the clipart forum. Thanks Bob for sharing your work and thanks to Egg for your part :)
That is lovely Igor!
Thanks Angelize.
One more picture - it is the same but totally different :D

Wish I had your eye for colours Igor. Sweet.
Thanks Egg. I appreciate your commentIt made me encouraged to send next twins

Looking good Igor.
Very nice, Igor. Gives me an idea for my own work :). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Fred, I feel honored when my pictures are inspiration for your work!
This evening whilst sitting at my computer (in the dark with no lights on) a moth, I've no idea of make or model, landed on my monitor and stayed there for over two hours. I thought it would be great to capture it for use on a web page. Print screen didn't work for some reason ;) so I photographed it and drew it. I attach the results. Unfortunately the ungrateful moth flew away before I'd finished her portrait so I can't supply a side by side photo comparison. Women!
:D amusing what you wrote Egg.
I like your moth, too bad the real one didn't stick around to see the finished work. Guess we'll have to get Mr. Scribble after that moth.
EDIT: Are you sure that's a moth? Looks a bit more like a Mayfly.
September in the UK is the season for crane flies, could this be one?
Thanks for making me chuckle, Egg.
Bob.
Hi, I went on the Natural History Museum site and asked there if anyone could identify the bug.
It turns out it is moth LINK
cool, thanks for the info.
Got a new system with windows 8.1 recently and made this wallpaper for it (resized so it doesn't bother people with lower res monitors).
The native windows wallpapers are either too cluttered or use extremely bright colors. I don't know what they were thinking ;)) And other wallpapers that I found online were all saved as .jpg and had ugly artifacts all over them. When will people understand what image format to use in which situation?
So anyway that's why I decided to make my own wallpaper. It took about 30 minutes and I'm quite happy about the result. I could add more details but I don't know... I like the simplicity of it. It goes to show that you don't need fancy shapes and intricate colors to make something that is pleasing to have as a background. It conveys the metro look of win 8 well imo.
Interesting, I sort of have the same feelings about wallpapers as you. I keep mine simple too but mostly I do mine like I do so the icons don't get lost in the clutter. If you want I can post an image of mine.
Sure go right ahead. But only post it here if you made it with Xara ;)) Otherwise post it in the off topic board :D
OK you asked for it. You might not like it but I so. Actually I make all my wallpapers with a large black background like this one. The image is slightly off center because of I keep most icons on the left, a few on the right but not many. I am posting one clean and one populated so you can hopefully see why I do what I do.

Here's a Haloween drawing of been working on. The top left looks a bit empty but I need the space for some text.
Here's the grass brushes I used in the above image. It uses 3 brushes with various line widths & randomisation.
Thanks for the brush Egg. Your Halloween drawing looks great.
Looks like a lot of work especially the renderings. I have been paying a visit to a local Tibetan temple here in Toronto and was looking at the "postcards" in the gift shop and considered how much work must have gone into them. Quite an undertaking.
Great Halloween picture, Egg, love it!
