A wee challenge...
I was pleased to read that our friend Roman has found himself a sweetie. Then to see Minimiro's darling little baby added to that pleasure.
All the love in the air gave me the idea that we need a Valentine Challenge as the big day is quickly approaching.
The idea is to push your creativity engine a bit and try experimenting with some xara features or techniques you don't usually use. You might just learn to love that tool or technique!
Multiple entries in this challenge are encouraged because you can never get/give too much love.
Regards, Ross

Gary..
It took me a while to realize that yours was an animation. Maybe you should have made it loop. Did anyone else miss that too?

Great cards everyone, I especially love Mickie's! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
The heart's fill is a seamless tile made out of one of Rich's abalony shells in Painter with a color change applied. The lace is one of mine created in Xara a while back.

Judi, your lace is just beautiful! Ah to have the patience for something that intricate.
Ross, I'm waiting for yours...it's going to be hard for you to surpass your "fizzy" valentine from last year.

Why, I’m afraid I can’t explain myself, sir, because I’m not myself, you know...

Very classy indeed! Fantastic looking, and very useable! Super lace, and the texture in the heart adds a nice touch to the whole thing!

Sure go ahead and use the design if you want. The font I used is called Kunsterschreiben.
If anyone wants the lace I saved it as a transparent .GIF so you can put any color you want under it. I also made a seamless kaleidoscope from it too, that is also a transparent .GIF. Just let me know.
