Minimalist Poster - September 2013
This month's Minimalist Poster Challenge topic is Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window.
The idea is:
MAXIMUM thinking - MINIMUM drawing.

Gary, very minimal and very quick too - you must have been sitting on the computer to be that quick.

Here's my go. Tried to say what the film is about in one simple image with no words. Not sure it works completely.

Wrong Gary, Myself and Rik are the moderators of this forum, at least I thought so.

Thanks for the inspiration.
I'm playing with creating a lens surface at present.

That's what it displays under the Challenges Title. Just grateful you are all moderating so well.

Ah, well then perhaps new posts need not be moderated. I made the wrong assumption that because a member's post was moderated that the forum was not moderated.
Never mind.

Here is my second go. I prefer it to my first one although I still don't think it gets the idea of the film across properly. Actually adding 'The Rear Window' in an appropriate font would improve it I think but that's sort of cheating!

Re: Minimalist Poster - September 2013
David, it is a tricky one. It's trying to cover an image that has depth in 2-D and set the context.
I've played with a Necker Cube but it is too messy so your flat approach is probably the right direction and it is a good attempt without signing your image.

I put it on my Facebook account without saying what film it is for and three people are trying to get it - one got it in two goes so it does work for some people I guess!
