Question about Page and Layout Designer

Does anyone know if the new Page and Layout Designer will have functionality that Xara Designer Pro X does not have?

My understanding is the next release of XDP will have all the functionality of PLD.

I agree with Tony.

Designer Pro X9 (the official name) will have the best features of Web Designer Premium, Photo & Graphic Designer 9, and Page & Layout Designer 9.

And it will be priced accordingly. :)

The version of Designer Pro listed is version 8 (Designer Pro X), however:

Having downloaded a trial version of PLD I notice it does, (thankfully) include clip view, but the comparison chart suggests not.

I'd like to see them drop the X at the end and just call it Designer Pro 9 or DP9 for short

yeah, xdp9 sits fine with me
anyway, why xdpx9 when there's no xdp9?
