I've removed something from this photo.
It's just for a bit of fun, but, can you guess what I've erased?!
By the way, it's not a tiny golf ball, that would be darn hard to see from this distance anyway!

The first hole?
Bunkers.
media circus
Good try Steve, but, no.
In fact, most Golf Tournaments, they control the media pretty well.
Clouds in the sky? As there is something that looks a bit cloud-like reflected in the water at the top end.
Or ... some sort of advert / paint-job on the roof of the main building?

Su
Sand trap?
I thought it was very obvious what you deleted, so I just put it back in.........so there!!
Ha Ha Frank.
lol Frank ... you forgot the Loch Ness Monster.

Su
You beat me to it Frank!:D
And didn't see you had posted that Su !!! :D

the flag-pole in the hole ?
Su: No. Not any clouds or the 'advert/paint job' on the roof of the building. The building is an excellent spot but not the right answer.
Larry: You seem to have your mind set on some sort of a sandy thing. Trust me. I'm not playing with any words. I didn't erase any bunkers or any other names you could use for any type of a sand trap!
Frank: Welcome. Haven't heard from you for ages.
Nice artwork but may I say, "No!"
I wish I had the skill to be able to erase something that large and still leave the picture the way it is in the original post.
John: No. Not Nessie either. Though I see that your Nessie cannot swim yet?!
Guy: No. If you look closely, I think there is a flag pole on the green. Or my eyes are not what they used to be. But, it's not the flag pole anyway.
A tree between the water and stand?
some visible presence of what ever the photographer was on when the picture was taken?
John: we seem to be on the same wavelength at the mo, first with the train and now with Nessie.
Rik: have you deleted the people in the building/stand or whatever it is called (and possibly replaced them with giant, white plastic manikins)? I can't figure out what is in there, but it looks weird. Pretty long shot I know (pun not intended).
A bridge over the lake? Top left-hand corner?

Grass?
Attachment 84601
hi-flyer I think :D
Paul: Very good guess but no.
I sincerely hope that no-one will say that I'm now leading you up the wrong road but I would have to say that you might be close!
(Now, I've already been in trouble for using symbols so hopefully you will understand that I am using the exclamation mark here in a light-hearted fashion).
Steve: No, it was nothing to do with the photographer.
Su: I appreciate your enthusiasm! (Apologies for using the exclamation mark again).
No. Not deleted any people or deleted anything on the stand or any media signs. Not a bridge over the water.
John: If the photographer was on 'grass' then he didn't leave that detail in the photograph.
Steve: nothing in the air.
that was in answer to Joh..... on second thoughts... Attachment 84605 .
There's a heavy shadow at the top of the lake. Maybe a building or platform on piles. I did wonder if Rik had relocated the stand.
possibly a mast or building removed from amongst the trees to the rear - maybe even the tops of cars on a road ?
Paul: I have not removed a building or a stand or stand.
Steve: Nothing from amongst the trees or cars or roads.
May I please give a clue and hopefully it will not prove to be too easy?!
Clue: I did not remove the object(s) itself.
I think if this turns out like the length of rope, Rik could get escorted to the lake..
to the tree by the lake :D
well I was about to say youve taken a whole chunk out of the 'middle' because them birds in upfront look might big in comparison to them people, but there could be a photographic explanation for that I guess
I stand by my question about the thread, by the way.
Hopefully, you will not be taking me to any trees by the lake to anything unmentionable!
So, please think about my clue: If I did not remove the object itself, what could I have removed?
stand by I am just consulting my book of seafaring knots [and we are not talking about speed measurement here you understand...]
I still think the perspective is wrong - you could have removed that I suppose.. shortened the fairway but not removed anything?
Well, I suppose I should not have indicated that I am in Reading, UK.
As for the removal.
I would like to say that the work was done in a programme called Aldus PhotoStyler, which was designed for Windows 95.
Do you remember that far back?!
So, it was very limited and all I used to do was to grab a part of the picture that I could suitably overlay over the top of what I was trying to erase. If you know what I mean?
I would not have had the skill to alter perspective or stuff like that.
The small blue and white building/object above/behind the big stand ... did you move that from the left-hand side of the stand (or from infront of it)?
Regards
Su
Thanks everyone for having a go.
Would you say that it's about time I posted the original?
Or do you think that others (and current) will want to try again?
you erased something - but did not remove the object itself?
guess you must have taken out a shadow or a reflection then... possibly on the lake
:-bd Steve is the winner. =D>
Here is the original.
Thanks for the reveal, Rik, though I don't understand why those shapes are on the water. We will let you off the dunking.
paul: That's what caught my attention when I first saw it.
I thought it was quite surprising that those trees could be showing a reflection in the water.
I can assure you this photo/scene is not made up.
So, I decided to set about trying to erase the reflection.
Took me ages. I wish I had had PhotoShop with it's content aware erase or Xara's Magic erase!
