I was going through some tutorials that were utilizing the clip view feature, and I thought it would be interesting to use some of the techniques on a keyhole. This is what I came up with.

WOW!
May I ask where you saw this keyhole?! ;))
Brilliant work.
Same question as Rik! Nice work, the keyhole I mean!!
Stygg
I've just noticed the birthmark!
Surely, that should help with the identification?!!!
One of my very first images created in Xara in 1996. (Must have been from the other side of the door :))
You're right stygg, it does look like your wife.:)
Nice work, psaumure.
Hi Rik, the tutorial I was working with was the video water drop tutorial. They were using the clip view tool to create an inner shadow on the base of the water drop. I thought it would be an interesting effect to shade the inner part of a keyhole. Gary, I really like the effect that you created, the silhouette reflection is very clever. Nicely done.
As for the model: The picture was taken approximately 30 years ago and the birthmark is actually a tattoo of a chili pepper. (In which she was quite famous for.) She was one of my favorite pinups when I was growing up. Those are all the clues that you get Rik, happy hunting. ;)
I am still working on a brass background for the keyhole. I actually incorporated the keyhole into a project that I did for my anniversary last year. This heart actually evolved out of Rik shiny button thread which got a great response. Great job Rik.

Personally, I think creating the keyhole was the easy part. Trying to figure out what goes on the other side, take some creative thinking and imagination. I particularly like this one the best.

Nicely done stygg, if you put yours and Gary's together and its a scene from "Psycho" :-O
I think we miss named this thread. Maybe one of the moderators could rename it to, "my wife is hot and yours is not."
Did I read post #8 correctly Psaumure?
You did that card for your wedding anniversary last year? It says 29 years?
Then if that is correct, then it was your Pearl Wedding Anniversary this year.
Then if all that is correct, "Congratulations."
As to your wife being 'hot', I am more than happy to take your word for that.
Your calculations are correct Rik. On the 30th of this month, we will have been married 30 years. The best part is, that we are still in love with one another. Where I'm from, being married for a long time and being in love, are both a rarity.
I have attached the keyhole with the brass plate that I mentioned earlier.
