Welcome to TalkGraphics
If you are using Web Designer 7 you can use the new Locate button to instantly locate a selected object or group of objects.
In other versions of Designer and Web Designer you can press the S icon in the Page and Layer Gallery to visually isolate a layer and its contents. When you press the S icon (to the left of the eye and lock icons) only the contents of that layer are displayed.
The Locate button is also available in Design Pro 6.
:o :o :o
You are absolutely correct. I had never noticed it before. Thanks Allison.
Click on an object. The status bar will show you which layer it's in.
You're welcome, Gary. The thing made me nuts when I depressed it accidentally and layers were flying open and closed whenever I selected something. Once I got it turned it off, I found that it's really rather useful. :)
Nice to hear from you, Egg.
Is that a new avatar Egg? Good to see you here.

LOCATE BUTTON.
Why the HELL is this not an icon? I've never noticed it before !
Shouting? Swearing? Big man! Noticed you doing it on another thread today as well. Some people might be offended so tone it down.
RIGHT!?
If you click on the object, it will highlight the layer in the layers palette, easy :-)
No need to look in obscure places.
