Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Hi evrybody,
Paul (Psaumure) asked me about the drawing technique for create fire flames in Xara, he sent me an image of the fire created in Photoshop, great!!, i tried to get the same effect, fire flames on the Text line`FIREī in Xara without using any Texture, Plugins or Lifeeffects. Nor pure vector objects with fill, fractal clouds, plasma, transparency and feather.
So i hope you like this version of Fire flames created in Xara. I will post a new thread in Designer pro Forum with the Tutorial i wrote with the xar file to share it with you.
Any comments and suggestions are alway welcome.
Regards BP
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
I like this particular piece BP. Excellent job! You need to post this one in your gallery. I particularly like the way the smoke and flames come together and how the letters glow from the fire. You get an A+ rating from me.
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
That's pretty convincing vector fire you've made, BP. I've looked over the tutorial you posted in the other thread and will have to give it a try.
Nicely done (as usual).
Thanks for the lesson,
Harry
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6

Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
THanks Paul, Harry and Merv for your comments.
Paul, my Galerry in TG is full, I cannot attach any images.
Harry, want to see your version of fire flames, if you donīt mind please.
Ontos, Nothing is hard, all what you need are Xara, patiance, practical training and time, then you can do it too.
Here is a new update for drawing Fire flames in Xara, You can add some shapes at the bottom of flames in light Blue to give the flame such feelings of fire. a Tip from Paul (Psaumure), thanks Paul.

Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Hello BP.
It`s always difficult to depict a quickly changing thing (water, wind, idea )))) ). It seems to me you did it very well. You also have got a very special feature of fire- fever.
Only one note from my side. It seems to me, flame has a scale factor. I mean that flame of burning timber and the one of burning match differ too much. Like an illustration of my note I attached the picture.
Best wishes.
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Beautiful flames BP, maybe less contrast as it looks a little shiny like glass.
No doubt you created this in 5 minutes Valery when it would have taken me a few hours, I especially like the burnt paper letters.
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Hi RUSS-USSR.
I love the look of the burnt paper.
I love the burnt part of the match.
Put together a short tutorial for that. A cheeky request from me!
A bit too much feathering on the flame, for my liking, but I'm not an Xpert.
A very good job though.
=D>
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Thanks Valery and Salaam for your comments, Valery i realy donīt understand what you mean with your comments on the flame on the match and the burning tember, anyway thanks for your suggestion and advice.
Salaam, yes you are right, less contrast will give the image another effect. i will give it a try, thanks again.
Best Regards BP

Hi BP !
English is not my native language, so it`s difficult to explain absolutely clear. But I`ll try. )))
I mean that flame looks different depend on dimension of flame and distance.
Small flame of match is very smooth and burning timber (wood box, tree
) creates flame more twisting.
So due to flame we can to imagine a size (range, distance to) of flame or burning object.
I hope you understand me better this time. )))
Best regards
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
Hi Valery, thanks too much for you second explaining, I understand now what you mean, but realy it was to much work on the image and the Tutorial, and have no time and idea to make any new flame so i took the first one resize it and put it on the match.
Once again many thanks for your patience with me and the information, i will draw a new small flame for the match.
Best Regards BP

Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
So Valery,
Here is the new update for the match flame, hope i did it right as your suggestion. and now i must post the xar file of the match flame Update.
Thanks again Valery.
Best Regards BP
Re: Creating Fire flames in XDP6
M - Your flames are very painterly.
Valery - Very well observed.
Rik - Flames do no have hard edges. Lot at a match some time. The flame is gas and soft. I think Valery has done a really expert job.
